SOUTHAVEN, MS (WMC) - A former Southaven alderman has been sentenced to 85 months on child pornography charges.

Officials said Ronnie Hale is set to report to serve the time on November 19.

Hale, who is also a former Memphis firefighter, pleaded guilty earlier this year to one count of transporting child pornography across state lines.

Hale was indicted last December after material was found on his laptop computer.
