Police: 14-year-old charged with murder, robbery in Christmas Eve double shooting

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Memphis police say a 14-year-old has been charged with murder in a Christmas Eve shooting on Ketchum Road.

Police said the teen is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree murder in perpetration of a felony, robbery, especially aggravated robbery, criminal attempt first-degree murder, and especially aggravated robbery.

The suspect’s name has not been released at this time. Officials have not said if he will be charged as an adult or a juvenile.

On Dec. 24, police said two male victims were shot in the 2400 block of Ketchum Road, near the intersection of I-240 and Airways Boulevard.

Police said one of the victims, 50-year-old Juan Garcia-Rincon, later died from his injuries.
