MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A suspect who police said led them on a high-speed chase through Midtown is expected in court Monday.
Patrick Vaughn, 33, will be in court facing five felony charges including carjacking.
The chase happened around 3:30 Friday afternoon.
A witness said the driver was going around 80 miles per hour before crashing into several cars, the last at Poplar Avenue and McLean Boulevard.
That witness said Vaughn got out of the car's sunroof ans started running from police before being tackled.
Police said Vaughn had a loaded handgun in the car and was found with another gun and drugs on him.
Vaughn is also awaiting trial for a 2017 burglary and theft case.
According to court records, Vaughn has been arrested dozens of times since he turned 19 and has served several years in prison.
Police said a woman was also in the car, but it’s unclear if she will also face charges.
