MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Now is not the best time to be on a six-game losing skid for the Memphis Grizzlies.
After falling to New Orleans on the road Monday night, the Grizz have a tough schedule ahead. Memphis hosts San Antonio at FedExForum on Wednesday.
The Spurs are on a five-game win streak right now, including a win over Memphis last Saturday.
After that, the Grizz travel to Miami which is a winnable game, but then Memphis has to go face reigning MVP James Harden and the Houston Rockets.
The Grizz come home next, but it's to face this year's MVP frontrunner Gianns Antetokounmpo and Milwaukee.
Then, they have two more road matchups – one at Boston and the other at Toronto.
The Celtics are currently fifth in the Eastern Conference while the Raptors are second.
But it's the NBA, and guys like point guard Mike Conley live for these matchups.
"Believe it or not we like the schedule we have,” Conley said. “Playing against these good teams coming up. You're going to find out who you really are, and adversity really reveals everything out of your character as a person and teammate. We have great character here, and we believe we're going to push through this."
Grizzlies-Spurs tips off 7 p.m. Wednesday night at FedExForum.
