MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - The Memphis Grizzlies badly needed a win after a six-game losing streak.
Wednesday, they hosted the San Antonio Spurs at FedExForum, who they also lost to last week.
Fittingly enough, they finally scored the much-needed pinfall on Wrasslin' Night.
Marc Gasol started hot, scoring 10 of his 26 total points in the first quarter.
The Grizzlies held a four point lead going into the 2nd quarter, and went into halftime with a 42-31 lead over San Antonio.
It's the fewest points Memphis has allowed in the first half all season and the fewest the Spurs have scored in the first half all season.
No third quarter issues for Memphis, and the Grizz kept the lead going into the fourth.
Finally, the losing streak is over – the Grizzlies got their first win of 2019, beating the Spurs 98-86.
