There will be showers and storms this morning as a weather system moves through the area. Although a few spotty showers are possible this afternoon, most of us will get a break around the lunch hour.
There will likely be another round of rain for the evening commute. Rain will clear late tonight. Highs today will climb to the mid 50s and lows will dip into the lower 40s.

FRIDAY: It will be dry and cloudy tomorrow with highs in the upper 50s. Rain will arrive late Friday evening by midnight.
WEEKEND: A cold front will give us on and off rain all day Saturday. No severe storms are expected. There could be enough leftover moisture on the backside of the front for light snow. Although the air temperature will be dropping below freezing when snow falls late Saturday night, ground temperatures will be above freezing. This means that snow will melt when it hits the road. There may be a dusting on grassy surfaces in west Tennessee and northeast Arkansas. It will be bitterly cold on Sunday with highs only in the lower 30s and lows in the teens. However, Sunday will feature more sunshine.
NEXT WEEK: It will be cold with sun on Monday for your Martin Luther King Jr Holiday. Highs will be in the upper 30s. Clouds will build in on Tuesday and an isolated shower will be possible. There will also be a chance for rain on Wednesday. Highs will be in the mid to upper 40s with lows in the 30s on Tuesday and Wednesday.
