DYERSBURG, TN (KFVS) - Two judges have dismissed charges against two men accused of raping a woman at an apartment in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

A Dyer County Judge dismissed the rape charge against the two men and sent the case back down to a lower court.

On Friday, April 12, a Dyersburg City Court Judge dismissed the case against the two men.

According to the Dyer County Circuit Court, an indictment is expected in connection with the case, but not against either man.

The two men were arrested after a police responded to a healthcare facility on January 14 in connection to a sexual assault victim seeking treatment.

The woman claimed she had been raped by two men she knew inside an apartment in Dyersburg.

During an interview, police say the men admitted they were in the country illegally.

Police notified Immigration and Customs Enforcement about the men.
