The Arkansas State Crime lab worries it could take months to complete a DNA analysis report.

LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT/KATV) - The Arkansas State Crime Lab has yet to process hundreds of sexual assault kits for DNA.

According to our ABC-affiliate KATV, the lab tries to get the report of a DNA analysis back to law enforcement agencies in 60 days.

However, Executive Director Kermit Channell said a backlog of almost 450 untested kits could delay that for months.

The good thing is, is that we're fully staffed now. We're fully trained and we're chipping away at that backlog," said Channell.
