A cold start to the weekend

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect for NE Arkansas and NW Tennessee until 3 AM due to falling temperatures and precipitation moving through the area tonight.

TONIGHT: Rain Ending WIND: NE 10-15 LOW: 31

SATURDAY: Mostly Cloudy WIND: NE 5-10 HIGH: 49

SATURDAY NIGHT: Isolated Showers WIND: SE 5 LOW: 42

Cold air will remain in place overnight bringing a slight chance of a wintry mix in parts of northeast Arkansas, the Missouri bootheel, and northwest Tennessee tonight. A cold rain will fall elsewhere and precipitation should exit the area around or shortly after midnight.

THE WEEKEND: Clouds will linger through the day tomorrow and a few showers will be possible late tomorrow night into early Sunday morning. Much of the day Sunday will be mostly cloudy with afternoon highs in the mid 50s and lows in the mid 30s.

NEXT WEEK: Monday will be mostly cloudy with a very slight chance of rain and highs in the upper 40s with overnight lows in the upper 30s. Tuesday will be cloudy with rain and possibly a few thunderstorms along with highs in the upper 40s and overnight lows near 40. Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of rain and highs near 50 with overnight lows again near 40. Thursday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and high temperatures in the lower 50s with lows in the lower 40s. Friday will be mostly cloudy with a very slight chance of a shower and afternoon highs in the mid 50s.
