The King's guitar comes home

Elvis fans are all shook up over one of the King's guitars. Friday, it found a new home, at the Memphis Rock and Soul Museum. A DeSoto County couple loaned their prize possession to the museum for fans and visitors to enjoy.

The Rock 'n Soul Museum's newest attraction is the Tsana guitar Elvis played while stationed in Germany. It's now back home in Memphis after a two-year stint at the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland . Elizabeth Hollenbeck owns the guitar. "I really, really think Elvis would have wanted it here. And that's why I wanted it here." It's the same guitar he played for 14-year-old Priscilla, his future wife. And it's quite possibly the only Tsana guitar still in existence.

"It's a once in a lifetime thing for a museum to get something like that" The museum hopes tourists and Memphians alike will come to admire the piece. John Doyle, museum director said, "Rock and roll that was started here, that was played on this guitar truly changed the complexion of the world."

If you want to see the guitar, it will be on display at the Rock 'n' Soul Museum through the end of July. It will then move with the rest of the contents to the museum's new location at the FedExForum in September.
