Ballots pile up as early voting sustains record pace in Arkansas

Arkansas voters are continuing to turn out in record numbers to cast early voting ballots.
In Pulaski County, the state's largest, early voting totals of 21-thousand-585 by noon Monday had surpassed the 21-thousand-68 for the entire two-week period in 2000.
County clerks around the state say they are seeing a similar pace.
The secretary of state's office won't have the total number of people who voted early and absentee until after the November second election.
Tennessee voting officials have also reported a tremendous turnout for the early voting across the state.
Volunteer state voters have until Thursday to cast early ballots.
