FORREST CITY, Arkansas (WMC-TV) - The Forrest City Civic Center was busy just hours after a deadly shooting near the edge of the parking lot.
Eugene Edwards, Jr. was shot three times as he walked home from a convenience store on Friday.

Rose Edwards lost her only son, and now she's searching for answers.
"I would just like to know why?" she said. "Because I don't know of anybody he was having friction with or anything."
Forrest City Police have released few details, but a witness told Action News 5 that he was taken in for questioning.
"I heard three gunshots," said Antonio Grady.  "Boom, boom, boom."
Grady says he saw two men running down the street seconds after the shots were fired.
"I was terrified," he said.  "I went in the house, came back out, and they were putting some tape up."
Edwards was transported to the hospital, where he died.

His family said the 27-year-old Walmart employee was just doing his best to support his three young children.
His parents said the family never moved to a bigger city because they felt safer in Forrest City.
"Because I didn't want to raise my children there," said Rose Edwards. "Because I was afraid of the violence. And to be living here, and my son gets shot three times."
Friday's murder was the second recent homicide in Forrest City.
"These young folks just don't care anymore," one neighbor said.
The recent crimes have left the normally quiet Forrest City community in fear.
Anyone with information on the murder of Eugene Edwards, Jr. should call Forrest City Crime Stoppers at (870) 261-1499.
