Deputy who chased Ala. gunman buries loved ones

SAMSON, Ala. (AP) - Funerals are being held today for a sheriff deputy's wife and baby killed in last week's shooting rampage in south Alabama.

Deputy Josh Myers had been part of the chase aimed at stopping the 28-year-old gunman, who was on the run after a deadly shooting rampage. The attack went on for 24 miles before he turned the gun on himself last week.

At the time, Myers was unaware that his wife, Andrea, and their 18-month-old daughter were among the gunman's 10 victims. The couple's 3-month-old daughter was injured, but survived.

Hundreds of people are expected for today's funeral services.
