YOUR TURN: Save our pets

This week's "Your Turn" segment goes to Joyce Carlton. Carlton is upset about the plight of the pets that end up in animal shelters, facing euthanasia.

In her words:

"I am so saddened by all the pets in our community that are in the shelters and rescue groups, and the animals that are homeless.  We, as a community, must do something immediately to prevent all the unwanted animals that are just "tossed out" due to various reasons.  These animals need people who care. Is there not some way to encourage people to spay and neuter? Maybe a tax deduction for the cost of the procedure, or some form of benefit people would receive. I know there must be something that can be done."

That's Joyce Carlton's turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, email yourturn@wmctv.com or call 800-465-1210.
