MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC-TV) - Dozens of fans showed up at Wilson Air Center on Saturday for the Memphis Tigers' unpublicized homecoming.

True-blue Memphis fans showed up to encourage the players as they prepare for the Sweet 16.

The Tiger's were welcomed home with cheers, applause and banners. Coach John Calipari said it meant a great deal to the players.

"People aren't talking about last year," he said. "They're talking about now...that's special for these guys."

Excited fans met Robert Dozier, Tyreke Evans, Doneal Mack and others.

Many fans wanted to show their appreciation for Roburt Sallie.

"I told Roburt that he saved us on Thursday," said Susan Lawallen.

Many fans say they're confident the Tigers will be ready every day and be the next National Champions.

Calipari says the players will take Sunday off before heading back out on the hardwood Monday to gear up for their next opponent.
