HORN LAKE, MS (WMC-TV) - A Horn Lake pizza delivery driver was forced to fight off several attackers during a frightening incident Sunday night.

"The first one came out and grabbed me by the shirt and the neck," the driver said. "The other two, they came out and grabbed me by the arms."

The Pizza Hut driver, who did not want to be identified, said he was delivering a pizza to a house on Carroll Street in Horn Lake Sunday night when a man at the door grabbed him.

Seconds later, three other men ran up from the bushes and tried to push him inside.

"He told me, 'Once I drag you into this house, I'm going to kill you,'" the driver said. "He honestly said that he was going to kill me."

The driver said he dropped the food, fought as hard as he could, and ran away to safety.

Police believe the pizza order was part of a robbery attempt.  According to neighbors, the house the driver tried to make a delivery to has been vacant for months.

"It's pretty dark over there, and seems like if he saw it's dark, common sense probably should have told him not to go up in there," neighbor Lee Moten said.

Meanwhile, Horn Lake police are still looking for suspects in the case.  Officers are investigating to see if the men who attacked the Pizza Hut driver are the same men who attacked a Dominos driver last fall.
"At that point they stuck a gun in his face and took the pizza and the money, took his wallet and cell phone, and things of that nature," Horn Lake Police Lt. Scott Evans said.

Police think the suspects are very familiar with the neighborhood where the attack happened.  Officers are asking anyone with information to call the Horn Lake Police Department at 662-393-6174.
