FREE dental work for patients of 'Disappearing Dentist'

16 years of bankruptcy filings and disciplinary action for over-prescribing addictive pain-killers have cost Dr. Laura Dove her dental practice.

They've also cost an untold number of her patients hundreds of dollars in paid services that were never rendered.

Action News 5 and dentist Dr. Pat Clark have teamed up to provide FREE dental work to patients of Dr. Dove who have been left holding the bag:

Pat Clark, DDS, 6750 Poplar Ave., Suite 700 (7th Floor) Memphis, TN; Sherry Woody is the office manager:  901-309-3045.

You'll need an invoice, record or receipt that indicates you were a patient of Dr. Dove and that you paid for services you did not receive.  You should also bring your insurance card and driver's license so Dr. Clark's staff can verify your identity and patient history.

If Dove's patients had spent just a few seconds on the Internet, they would have learned the truth about their "disappearing dentist."  Dove has multiple bankruptcy filings going as far back as 1993.  In 2004, the Tennessee Department of Health put her on a year's probation for over-prescribing oxycodone, the highly addictive pain-killer.

She may never have been their dentist if they knew what we knew.

Below are the sites we recommend to run your own doctors' background checks.  Some are free.  Some require a fee.  Some require signing up with a password, but each is an invaluable resource.  Don't complain about any fees.  Just think about how much time and money you could save knowing the truth about your doctors -- hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars in malpractice or denied services.
