Tigers Set Visit for Top Point Guard

For new University of Memphis Basketball Coach Josh Pastner, Rebuilding the Tigers has been of whirlwind of activity from keeping the current players in the den, to trying to recruit new stars to replace those who've defected to other programs.

He's may be beginning to have some luck on that front.

Eric Bledsoe, a top national point guard prospect will be here in Memphis for an official visit Thursday.

Bledsoe is ranked 23rd nationally by Rivals.com.

He led his Birmingham Parker team to a berth in the Alabama State Championship..upsetting Mobile and former Tiger recruit DeMarcus Cousins in the Semifinals.

Kentucky is also recruiting Bledsoe..along with Top ranked point guard John Wall.

The Tigers are also a finalist for 6'7" Forward Latavious Williams of Starkville, MS.

That's according to his Head Coach, Carlos Wilson of Christian Life Academy in Humble, TX.

Rivals.com ranks Williams among the Top 20 Seniors in the Nation.

Kentucky, Georgetown, and Kansas State are among the schools with scholarship offers on the table.

Williams, who's yet to qualify academically, could announce his decision on Monday.
