Jarvis Greer celebrates 30 years at WMC-TV 5

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Jarvis Greer got his start on Action News 5 more than a quarter century ago!

Through the past three decades of covering Mid-South sports, Jarvo's been part of it all!

He covered the NBA's Penny Hardaway before he had a penny, and Memphis' own NBA franchise from the ground up!

Since Jarvis has been reporting sports, we've seen the Titans and the Tigers, and the Riverkings and the Redbirds.

Jarvis has a unique ability to make us laugh - even at times we're not supposed to.

On television, we've advanced a long way alongside Jarvo.  Long gone is the boring blue background that used to be behind the anchor desk.  Now, Jarvis has his own Sports Center, as well as the Action News 5 Locker Room!

Whether he's breaking basketball's biggest story, or tackling the future of football, Jarvis will always be our go-to-guy for sports.

Jarvis, congratulations on 30 years at WMC-TV 5!
