MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - A week after he went missing, co-workers of a missing Mid-South man stepped up their search for him Wednesday.

Every Wednesday, the Bowden Surgery Center closes at noon.  On this Wednesday, a team of 26 nurses and staff members used the time to search.

"We have a team that's going to stop in Millington," co-worker Seandria Cobbins said. "They'll be putting out 'Have you seen him?' flyers. We're going to go all the way down to Brighton, through Atoka, putting out flyers."

Fellow nurse, friend, and extended family member Howard Piner is missing, along with his truck, a silver F-150, with Tennessee tag 303-GDC.

"We love him. We miss him. We want him to come home. We want to find him," Cobbins said.

Piner was last seen one week ago, pumping gas on Covington Pike. It's the last time his credit card or his cell phone were used. Investigators say they reviewed the surveillance video from the gas station, but it was no help.  And, the GPS on Piner's cell phone is dormant.

Investigators say they have no clues and need help.

"Not knowing is harder than...maybe knowing," Cobbins said.

So, according to Cobbins, this group plans to do everything possible - not just when the office closes early, either.

"We plan to continue to take action until we find Howard," Cobbins said.

If you have any information that might help solve this case, call the Tipton County Sheriff's Department at (901) 475-4300.
