HORN LAKE, MS (WMC-TV) - They were wanted for a string of hold-ups in Arkansas and Mississippi, and now, five robbery suspects are in jail after they were captured by some fast-thinking Mid-South police officers.

Five suspects, all from Helena, Arkansas, are in the DeSoto County Jail in Hernando after robbing a Dollar General Store in Horn Lake.  It was the latest in a series of burglaries at Dollar General stores throughout Mississippi and Arkansas.

Horn Lake Police said the men were also suspected in two burglaries in Tate County, a third in Boyle, Mississippi, and possibly some in Arkansas.

Horn Lake Police Capt. Troy Rowell said the men were caught early Wednesday morning at they headed toward the southbound ramp of I-55 after robbing the Horn Lake store.

"Everything matched up," Rowell said. "Same vehicle description, five individuals, and based on the traffic stop, they had the tools they were using to break into businesses and remove the safes out, all in the vehicle."

Arrested were Malcolm Hunt, Dequantis Britton, Henry Johnson, James Reese and Jarkius Britton.  They were all charged with burglary of a commercial building and each man's bond was set at $100,000.

Rowell says the Horn Lake police received a request from the Tate County Sheriff's Office to attempt to enhance some video they have from some commercial burglaries. Based on that information, he put out a BOLO to all Horn Lake officers for commercial burglaries that had been occurring at Dollar General stores.
