LAKE CORMORANT, MS (WMC-TV) - A 16-year-old Mississippi high school student is finding success with his very own small business.

Berryhill's online business is called 'Trinity Exclusive Fragrances by T,' where he sells scented candles.

A student at Lake Comorant Middle School, Tay carries a 3.1 GPA, and was recently awarded the U.S. National Achievement Award.  He will also soon be featured in Who's Who.

Berryhill, who started his business last year, said it is good training.

"It's all about survival, you know, trying to make it - make a way to make money and keep up the family," he said.

The enterprising 10th grader says the business is going well, and if it continues its current course, he hopes to expand beyond the internet.

As for his immediate future, the soft spoken Berryhill said he plans to attend college, although he is undecided as to which one.  He enjoys biology and would like to one day work in the field of medicine.
