I'm not sure which one I'm more angry with on this one -- the thief or the victim.
We won't name the victim, but we should. In this case, she'd be the poster child for stupidity.
According to a Bartlett Police Department incident report, the woman reported her wallet stolen from a Bartlett shoe store April 10. The report indicates that the victim "...set her purse down for a minute and walked down the aisle and thinks that is when someone took the wallet."
You think? Give me a break.
Anyway, the Action News 5 Scam Cam captured the suspect below, using the victim's credit card at a Wolfchase-area department store. According to the report, the suspect charged $459.99 in two lamps, two side-tables and two gift cards.
She also charged $100 at a Wolfchase-area restaurant and attempted to charge $786.57 at a Wolfchase-area electronics dealer, but was declined.
