MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - A 31-year-old man was shot to death early Sunday morning, Memphis police spokesperson Monique Martin said.

Officers responded to the shooting, in the 300 block of Valley Stream Cove, around 3:00 a.m. Sunday.  There, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The man died a short time later.

According to Martin, as officers were conducting their investigation, the suspect called police and turned himself in.

The suspect being questioned is a 29-year-old man.  Investigators believe the suspect and the victim knew each other, and had an argument prior to the shooting.

The names of the victim and the suspect have not yet been released.
