LITTLE ROCK, AR (WMC-TV) - 23-year-old Carlos Bledsoe, also known as Abdulhakin Muhammad, is charged in the shooting death of 24-year-old William Long of Conway, Arkansas.

"We believe that primarily as a religious basis he has a dislike of military policy and military actions. That's why we believe he committed these acts" stated Chief Stuart Thomas with Little Rock Police.

Authorities say Bledsoe pulled up outside an Army recruiting office and fired shots killing Long and injuring another soldier.

"As a result of the arrest, 3 weapons were recovered from the suspect's vehicle and members of the department executed a search a seizure at the suspect's residence" stated Thomas.

We know Bledsoe recently lived in Memphis and moved to Little Rock earlier this year.

We went to a home in the Raleigh area, where a Carlos Bledsoe, age 23, recently lived. We're not sure if it's the same Carlos Bledsoe but when we knocked on the door we got no answer.

Meanwhile, military officials say Long and the other wounded soldier had just completed basic training and had volunteered to help attract others to the military.

Capt. Matthew Feehan with the US Army stated "on behalf of the US Army, our condolences go out to the families, especially the family of the private. Any loss of life is tragic."
