MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - A brief fire has been quickly extinguished on a parked plane with no passengers on board at Memphis International Airport.

John Greaud, vice president of operations for the Memphis/Shelby County Airport Authority, said the blaze apparently was in an auxiliary power unit of a Pinnacle plane around 5:50 p.m. CDT.

No one was hurt. Greaud said the fire was extinguished or burned out before firefighters arrived at gate B15.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
