MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) -  Family and friends gathered Saturday at Ellendale Baptist Church for a memorial service to remember Tina Caronna.

Her life was cut short last October when her husband, Joe Caronna, allegedly killed her and left her body in a truck along a Bartlett road.

"She loved her family and she loved her many friends, and showed love to everyone" said Scott Murphy, Tina Caronna's brother.

Her son, Todd Gray, says he's still coping with the loss. "I miss her more and more everyday. She was a wonderful lady, wonderful mother, good friend to everyone," he said.

Clara Murphy, Caronna's mother, says she's still grieving. "If it wasn't for my lord and leaning on him - that's getting me through this" she said.

Murphy says the ceremony helped bring closure to her and her family. "I can just see her in heaven walking the streets of gold, holding her father's hand," she said. 'And she's saying, 'go mom, go mom,' because this is the kind of memorial she would have wanted."

Ellendale Baptist Church has set up a fund to help purchase a headstone for Caronna's gravesite.

The remaining funds will go towards Caronna's son's education.
