The Memphis Tigers got good news and bad news this week...
The good news, is new coach Josh Pastner got a verbal commitment from five star recruit Will Barton and brother Antonio,...
The bad news...it appears senior forward Shawn Taggart has decided his college career is done.
FOXSports.com is reporting Taggart will remain in the NBA draft and sign with an agent.
The 6'10 forward averaged 10.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per game last season.
Taggart had until June 15th to decide his future in the NBA, but cited having to "carry the load" at Memphis next season as one reason for his decision.
Taggart was the only player returning to the Tigers with significant time as a starter.
With his decision to test the draft waters, the top returning scorer from last year's team is now Doneal Mack, who averaged 8.7 points per game.
