MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Memphis police have charged three people in the Saturday night robbery and murder of a pizza deliveryman.

Jeremy Williams, 23, Lavette Coleman, 18, and Dean Heath III, 17, are charged with first degree murder in perpetration of aggravated robbery in the killing of 29-year-old Stephen Faulkner.

Faulkner, who worked for Pizza Hut, was delivering a pizza to a house in the 2800 block of Brentdale around 11:30p.m. Saturday when he was robbed and shot to death.

Memphis Police Director Larry Godwin said Coleman and Williams helped plan the robbery, while Heath fired the fatal shots using Williams' gun.

"A gun in the hands of a child, trying to be the big bad robber, as we've said many times before, is a recipe for disaster," Godwin said.

A spokesperson with the District Attorney's office said no decision has been made regarding Heath, but it is policy to request a transfer to adult court for all 16 and 17-year-olds charged with a violent crime.

Heath has a hearing at Juvenile Court on July 15th.
