NBA Draft Intrigue Goes Up to the Final Hour for Grizzlies

With all pundits expecting Oklahoma's Blake Griffin to go #1 to the L.A. Clippers.. Thursdays' NBA Draft intrigue starts with the Memphis Grizzlies, who hold the Number-2 Pick.

All kinds of scenarios are repeatedly being played out as to what the Grizz should do with Number-2.

Some say Spanish Point Guard Sensation Ricky Rubio is the Man.

Others say Go Big, with 7'3" Shot Blocker Hasheem Thabeet of Connecticut.

After a poor pre-draft workout at Sacramento this week, Rubio's stock may be falling.

Thabeet hasn't worked out for the Grizzlies...but he's interviewed with them several times.

He's come a long way from his native Tanzania and just 6-years of organized Basketball.

There's soo much left to be done in deciding who's going where in the Associations' picking party, the Grizzlies, like many teams, are still evaluating talent.

Wednesday, the Grizz brought in Kentucky Sharpshooter Jodie Meeks and several other players for a Final Look-See on their later picks in the Draft.

Meeks, a 6'4" long range gunner, torched Tennessee last season at Knoxville with a 54 point effort.

The Early Entry candidate holds Kentucky's All-Time record for Made 3-pointers.

He led the S.E.C in scoring last season as a Junior at 23.7 points per game..

Also in Camp, Syracuse 2-guard Eric Devendorf..

Gonzaga's Jeremy Pargo gets his second look from the Grizzlies after testing the waters last year.

And Livingstone's Tayloe Taylor, a 6'1" point.

Whatever happens will all unfold Thursday night..

The Grizzlies are inviting all fans to FedExForum to watch it happen.

The Grizzlies are hosting a Free Draft Party Downtown at the Arena.

Doors open at 5pm

The Draft will be shown LIVE on the Jumbo Tron.

Oh yeah...did I's all open and Free to the public.
