Former Houston High Star Now Major League All Star

While St. Louis Cardinals Slugger Albert Pujols is the Top Vote Getter and will be a Starter in the upcoming Major League Baseball All-Star game, the news is also good for Memphian Matt Cain.

Cain is voted to his First Big Leauge All-Star Game since coming up to the Majors 4.5 years ago with the San Francisco Giants.

The former Houston High Star is having his best season so far..

Cain is 9-2 with a 2.48 ERA with 88 strikeouts.

That ranks third in the National League

His 9-and-2 record is among the best in the Bigs.

The Major League All-Star Game is set for July 14th at Busch Stadium up the River in St. Louis.
