MILLINGTON, TN (WMC-TV) - Police in Millington have arrested three suspects believed to be responsible for a string of drug thefts from Mid-South pharmacies.

Brett Shaw, Derrico Morgan and Anthony Peoples were taken into custody after setting off the alarm at the Boatwright Pharmacy in Millington.

Police say one suspect waited in a car while the other two smashed the store's front window and made their way inside, grabbing prescription drugs such as oxycontin, hydrocodone and codeine syrup.

Shaw and Peoples tried to run from police, but were captured.

Morgan hid out in an attic, and was eventually captured by a police dog.

Last week, burglars rammed through a wall to get inside Wiles-Smith Drugs in Midtown Memphis. Investigators say the trio is linked to that burglary and others in the area.

"Whatever they're getting for it for street value - I don't know how much money we're talking about - but with all the pharmacies, we're talking about a lot of money," said Lt. Jimmy Little with the Millington Police Dept.

They also say a fourth suspect is involved in the crime spree, and they plan to make an arrest soon.
