Cain Out of All-Star Game

Less than a week after being named to his first Major League All-Star game, former Houston high star Matt Cain has had to give up his spot because of injury.

Cain was hit in his pitching arm with a line drive last night during San Francisco's game against with the Padres.

The Giants righty entered the game tied for the second most wins in the National League...

He's 10-and-2 with a 2.38 ERA.

Pirates pitcher Zach Duke will take Cain's spot on the NL Roster.

The All-Star Game is set for Tuesday night in St. Louis.
