He's a Legit Player who's had Legit Problems.
He's a Double-Double on the court, who sometimes is Double-Trouble Off of it.
He's the Newest Memphis Grizzly, Zach Randolph.
The Grizzlies introduced the 6'9", 260-pound Power Forward to the Bluff City Downtown Tuesday at FedExForum.
Randolph gives the Grizzlies one of the best low post scorers in the game...and one of the NBA's top Offensive Rebounders..
In 8-seasons in the League, he averages right at 20-points and 10-boards a contest.
But, in 8-seasons he's also had run-ins with the Law..from DUI to Drag Racing..to a couple of team suspensions for punching other players.
Randolph, now 28 years old and expecting the birth of a baby daughter in September, says he wants to leave the past in the past.
Randolph says he knows he's had problems, but most were years ago.
He says his only thoughts now are of making the Grizzlies a winner. Randolph says he wants to bring toughness to the team and wants to compliment perimeter players Rudy Gay and O.J. Mayo with his inside game.
Randolph says he wants to get with his new teammates before training camp in September to scrimmage, get to know each other, and build chemistry for the new look Grizzlies.
