Rebels Getting Hype at S.E.C. Media Days

Day Two of S.E.C. Media Days in Birmingham brings several Stars of the League to the Podium..

For the first time in a while that includes the Ole Miss Rebels.

Mississippi Coach Houston Nutt with the confident smile and accompanying gate as he strolls through the Winfrey Hotel..

Nutt says his Rebels are in uncharted territory as a pre-season Top 10 pick by many publications...

The Rebels earned the attention by winning their final 6-games last season, including a Cotton Bowl victory over Texas Tech.

Nutt says he's reminding his players how to deal with all the newfound attention.

He says the same magazines that didn't pick them to do anything last season, are now picking them to win..  Nutt says his players must do the same now as they did then...just ignore them.

The only way to be that good is to work harder.

Quarterback Jevan Snead, who's getting plenty of All-Star accolades himself, says there's no substitute for putting the time in.  He says the Bright Lights will keep shining if you keep paying dues in practice and the film room

The Rebels open against Memphis at the Liberty Bowl Sunday, September, 6th.
