MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - In her Florida hometown, news is spreading fast about McKenzie Morrison, the former intern at the center of the Paul Stanley sex scandal.

Morrison is from Port Orange, Florida, where according to the Daytona Beach News Journal, she was the student body president at Spruce Creek High School.

In May 2005, as a high school senior, Morrison was arrested and charged with cocaine possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.  According to the Orlando Sentinel, the charges were later dropped, and the case was dismissed.

In July of 2005, Morrison married Randy Mueller, a man who later became a prisoner in the Florida Department of Corrections.  Mueller is three years into a seven year sentence for assault with a deadly weapon, after beating a 75-year-old man with a hammer.

At his trial, Morrison testified the man offered Morrison $50 for sex, and when she declined, he tried to force himself on her. That's when Mueller attacked.  Originally, police arrested the 75-year-old for battery, but that charge was dropped, and the case was dismissed.

In the three years since her husband went to prison, Morrison started dating Joel Watts.

Watts is charged with extortion, accused of trying to sell provocative pictures of Morrison that were taken in State Senator Paul Stanley's apartment.

According to the affidavit of complaint against Watts, Morrison and Stanley were involved in a sexual relationship.  Morrison was one of Stanley's legislative interns.

Technically, Morrison and Mueller are still married, but they are in the middle of divorce proceedings that began last month.
