FAYETTE COUNTY, TN (WMC-TV) - A West Tennessee community is reeling after a school system employee was indicted on charges of child rape and sexual battery.
It's been one week since Fayette County schools' bus garage supervisor and head of security Milton Holt was indicted by a grand jury for rape, and Monday his indictment was still the talk of the town.
"Its been hard - been terrible - it makes you mad enough to do whatever," said the girl's grandmother said.
Her 13-year-old granddaughter was one of Holt's victims. Back in February, Holt allegedly raped the then twelve-year-old girl inside the school bus garage in Somerville.
An indictment also states that Holt sexually assaulted another adult female at East Junior High.
"Why is this old man out here in the streets doing these things? I don't see how he could do what he did to those babies," the grandmother said.
Through the course of the investigation, a third victim also came forward, stating that was also raped by Holt on three separate occasions.
"We are always concerned about the safety and well-being of our students and employees," a Fayette County Schools spokesperson said. "We will naturally review our procedures to see if any changes are needed."
The girl's grandmother said she won't be satisfied until Holt is behind bars for good.
"He ain't gonna stop," she said. "That's in his blood. I believe it, or he's loose-headed."
Action News Five's calls to Milton Holt were not answered. He is out of jail on a $75,000 bond. His next court appearance is set for August 7th.
