DYERSBURG, TN (WMC-TV) - Tennessee investigators are searching for a man they believe is a serial rapist.

Dyersburg police are searching for a suspect who raped two different women on two different occasions.  According to Police Chief Art Heun, the women appear to have been randomly picked out in both attacks.

The two victims do not know each other, and neither of them knows the man who attacked them.

Right now, police have only a very vague description of the man for whom they're searching.

"We believe the responsible party is a black male, medium build, approximately 6-foot-2-inches tall," Heun said. "The perpetrator of those crimes had his face covered with a hood both times, so a good, accurate description has not been forthcoming."

Heun said investigators sent forensic evidence to the state crime lab for review, though he's uncertain where it'll lead.

Meanwhile, if you have any information that might help solve this case, investigators ask that you call the Dyersburg Police Department.
