Former Germantown doctor indicted on weapons charges

LITTLE ROCK, AR (WMC-TV) - A grand jury has indicted Dr. Randeep Mann of Arkansas for possessing 98 grenades and two firearms that were not registered to him.

The seven-count indictment also charges Mann's wife Sue with conspiracy to obstruct or impede the proceedings against him.

Mann has been questioned about the attack on Dr. Trent Pierce, the former head of the Arkansas Disciplinary Board.

Pierce was critically injured in a car bombing outside his West Memphis home. Investigators questioned Mann in that bombing because of his appearances in front of Pierce and the board.

It was Pierce who denied reinstating Mann's narcotics license after state records show at least 10 of his patients died from overdoses.

Although Mann is a person of interest, Friday's incidement was not related to the explosion that injured Pierce.
