26-Days and counting..
That's the time left till Memphis kicks off its College Football Season against 10th ranked Ole Miss at the Liberty Bowl.
It's also time to get Fall Camp underway..
Under the lights of the south campus, so starts another Memphis football season.
Another year, and another early wake up call for the Tigers.
U of M Head Coach Tommy West remarked:
"It was a typical first practice, everyone was jacked up, we got started 10 min early. I thought it was good."
It's all about the new this year...
For starters, an almost completely new offensive line.
The only returning starter is Dominik Riley, who makes the move from left guard to center.
"We're gonna have to come out and do our jobs. Everyone is pointing the fingers at us, and we're going to have to show out."
Tigers Quarterback Arkelon Hall has confidence in the Boys up front.
"I have no worries about my offensive line. With coach Mallory behind them, I know they're going to work to the best of their abilities."
Defensive coordinator Kenny Ingram is also making a transition, from linebacker coach to defensive coordinator.
The challenge is to keep the Tiger D moving in the right direction.
Under former coordinator Tim Walton, Memphis moved up to 57th nationally in total defense.
Ingram knows he has help if needed.
"I'm learning and growing, but what's great is I have a coach who's involved and helpful in giving advice."
Not new, are the expectations..as Arkelon Hall exclaims.
"It's time. We've been a 7 or 8 game winning team with Memphis for a while. It's time"
