Tough First Scrimmage for U of M Football team

the Memphis Tigers hit the field at Liberty Bowl stadium for a little scrimmage action this morning..

One of the highlights, this 41 yard touchdown grab by Duke Calhoun from Brett Toney, the first of two scores by the senior receiver.

The 83 play scrimmage lasted about an hour and a half, with ups and downs on both sides of the ball.

Coach Tommy West has seen better.

West says the Offense moved the ball, but also turned it over 5 times. He says: "That's not winning Football."

Tigers transfer WR Billy Foster is the first injury casualty of the season.

He suffered a fracture dislocation of his right ankle near the end of today's scrimmage.

The Tigers will face Ole Miss in their season opener in just under 2 weeks, Sunday, September 6th 2:30pm at the Liberty Bowl.
