Outside of Brett Favre and this years' local political arena, most people seem to like comeback stories..
Well.. the Memphis Tigers Football team has a comeback story for you.
His name is Will Hudgens...
Hudgens is coming back for his 6th season in Tiger Blue..
Medical hardships are the reason.
A standout 2-sport Athlete at Ridgeway..Hudgens tore his ACL in a Dunk contest before he even got the the U of M and took a Freshman Redshirt.
Then, 3-games into the 2005 season, he broke his leg.
In 2006, another Broken Leg, this time just 2-games into the campaign.
2007 was a good year, Hudgens played in all 13-games..and led the Tigers to an emotional win over Marshall with a 346 yard 2 TD Effort .
The single game Passing Yardage ranks 10th in U of M History.
But, another injury last season.
This time at East Carolina..
Another Knee Injury..
An appeal to the NCAA..
Another Knee Brace
Another Fall Camp.
Hudgens just can't stay away from Tiger Football.
Hudgens says camp is the toughest thing...but, since he's a veteran, (and a Quarterback) he can avoid most of the Heavy Hitting the big lineman take. He says Ice and Stretching have become his best friends.. Hudgens says he wants to do whatever he can to help the Tigers win, from being a Mentor to throwing Touchdown Passes.
Hudgens and the Tigers are gearing up for their Final Scrimmage of Fall Camp Thursday at the Liberty Bowl.
Head Coach Tommy West says he won't name a starting Quarterback till after reviewing scrimmage work.
