Redbirds Host Game One of PCL Championship Tuesday

Can you believe it?

The Memphis Redbirds are playing for the Pacific Coast League Championship!!

The 'Birds hit the batting cage underneath AutoZone Park today after pulling off the 3-game Sweep of Albuquerque in the Divisional Finals last Friday night..

The Redbirds haven't hung a Pennant in the Zone since the Park opened in 2000.

As a matter of Fact, they haven't even been to the playoffs since then.

Outfielder John Jay says this is all the players could want.

Jay says the 'Birds were 8-games out in Late July but grew up collectively as hitters..and the Pitching came through.

The Redbirds Pitching Staff have the Best ERA in the Pacific Coast League.

The Redbirds host Sacramento in the PCL Finals..

Memphis gets game one and two with the opener Tuesday night at AutoZone Park.

The final games of the best of 5 series will be played on the West Coast.
