ALSAC's Richard Shadyac dead at 80

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - St. Jude supporters and staffers are mourning the death of one of Danny Thomas' right-hand men in the founding of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. 
Richard Shadyac, who spent 13 years as chief fundraiser for the Memphis hospital, died Wednesday night.
Shadyac retired as top executive of the American Lebanese Syrian Associated Charities in 2005. He served on the group's board for more than four decades.
Shadyac was 80 years old.
