SOMERVILLE, TN (WMC-TV) - A man in Fayette County has been accused of forcing young children to have sex with him.  Ernest Lee Jennings III, also known as "Dan", is facing a total of seven charges including child rape.

Investigators said Jennings volunteered to babysit for relative's children at every possible chance.

During forensic interviews in the affidavit of complaint, children ranging in age from 6 to 12 years old described exactly what happend to them using child-like terms.

Jennings is accused of raping four children and trying to rape another in his own bedroom.

According to the arrest ticket, Jennings threatened to kill the children if they told anyone about the assaults.

Police say investigators also found child pornography in Jennings' room.

Somerville Police Chief Ricky Hoskins said Jennings could face more charges.  "It's not ever easy to talk to a child and find out the type of things that's happened to these children," Hoskins said. He is worried that there could be other young victims.

The Police Chief urged anyone with children who knows Jennings to talk to their children and let authorities know if Jennings has been around their children.

Jennings is now inside the Fayette County jail and faces a one million dollar bond.
