Even with the Additions of NBA Veterans Allen Iverson and Zach Randolph, the Grizzlies will still trot out one of the Youngest teams in the League when play starts next month..
Memphis has a roster full of Rookies. Free Agents, and 2nd or 3rd year guys who are looking for direction..
As a matter of fact...14 of the 17 players in Training Camp total 22 years of experience.
Two, Zach Randolph and Allen Iverson, combine for 21 years..including 13 for A.I.
The former NBA MVP, Scoring Champion, and 10-team All-Star is commanding the respect of the Youngsters so far.
Rookie Forward DeMarre Carroll says: "Having a veteran guy that's as accomplished as he is working hard right along side us is really something. He says he wants to lead us to the Playoffs and we are definitely ready to follow his lead."
Says Iverson, "It does me good to see guys who grew up watching me play. It makes me want to play even harder and show them how it's done. Someday when i retire i can say i had something to do with them reaching the next level."
It's Two a Days the rest of this week for the Grizzlies at Training Camp in Birmingham.
Their first Pre-Season game is October 6th against the Washington Wizards in Richmond, Virginia.
