SOUTHAVEN, Miss. (WMC-TV) - Southaven police are searching for a pair of armed robbers who barged into a church and demanded money.

The crime occurred Saturday as members at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church were preparing for a fish fry fundraiser.
"Two gunmen came in with an uzi," said youth minister Allen Brewer. "The patted us down, took our cell phones, took our wallets, took our keys, and come in here and stole my car. Drove off in my car."

During Sunday morning service, church members prayed for the robbery victims and for the robbers themselves.

"Well, you know our attitude is God wants us to forgive, not only your sins or my sins, but people that sin against us," Brewer said.

Police say the suspects were last seen driving a stolen 2001 blue Chevy Tracker.
If you have any information that could help lead to an arrest, call Southaven police at (662) 393-0228.
