S.E.C. Media Picks Kentucky to Win in Hoops

Surprise, Surprise!

Kentucky is the Media's pick to win the Southeastern Conference Basketball Championship.

With all those top recruits who defected from Memphis along with former Tigers head Coach John Calipari...everyone is expecting the Wildcats to have another Banner Year in the Bluegrass state..

Mississippi State gets the Nod to Challenge Kentucky for S.E.C. Supremacy.

The Bulldogs are the pick to win the Leagues' Western Division..

State won the S.E.C. Tournament last year and return the Nations' Leading Shot Blocker in former Brownsville Hawyood County Star Jarvis Varnado in the Middle.

S.E.C. Media Types expect the Rebels of Ole Miss Miss to return healthy this season, and tabs them for the Number-2 spot in the west.

Injuries decimated Ole Miss last season, and forced the quick maturation of Freshman Terrico White of Memphis Craigmont..

White went on to become one of the Top Freshmen in the Nation..

Here's the way the votes break down..

WESTERN DIVISION

Mississippi State (22) 144

Ole Miss (2) 120

Alabama 84

LSU (1) 70

Arkansas 63

Auburn 44

EASTERN DIVISION

Kentucky (23) 148

Tennessee (2) 117

Vanderbilt 90

South Carolina 77

Florida 68

Georgia 25

Terrico White, and Varnado are named Pre-Season First Team All-S.E.C.

Ole Miss Guard Chris Warren is named to the second team along with Kentucky Rookie John Wall.

The Wildcats Patrick Patterson is the Pre-Season S.E.C. Player of the Year..

My opinion...they better wait and see what John Wall does because that cat is a game changer.
