On the College Gridiron, the season is over for Memphis Tigers Sophomore Quarterback Tyler Bass.
Bass will have Surgery Tuesday to repair a tear in in his left non-throwing shoulder.
He'd played in 4-games this season, jumpstarting a doormant Tigers offense in starts against UT-Martin, Marshall, and UCF.
U of M Head Coach Tommy West says the decision was made to have the surgery now, so Bass would have time to recover and be ready for Spring Practice.
Bass was forced into action as a Freshman last season after injuries to quarterbacks Arkelon Hall and Will Hudgens..
He too, was knocked out for the year after tearing his ACL against Southern Miss.
In 6 career games, Bass is 63 of 94 for 774 yards and 7 Touchdowns.
