S.E.C. Reprimands Kiffin, Mullen for Speaking Out on Refs

Anybody who hasn't been reprimanded by the S.E.C. please raise your hand????

Tennessee's Lane Kiffin sure can't.

Neither can several other coaches in the League..

Kiffin received his second reprimand this season for criticizing the Refs in Saturdays' Alabama Tennessee game...

Kiffin said he ran the clock down late in the game so as to not give the officials a chance to throw a Phantom Flag..

Plus, he said 'Bama's Terrence Cody SHOULD'VE been flagged for Taking off his Helmet after his Field Goal Block on the last play of the Game.

S.E.C. Boss Mike Slive says any MORE out of Kiffin could result in a suspension.

The League ALSO Reprimands Mississippi State's Dan Mullen Monday for criticizing the Refs.

Mullen said Sunday the Replay Official who worked the Bulldogs game against Florida should be Disciplined for not overturning a Touchdown call on an interception against the Dawgs.

Mullen says Gators Linebacker Dustin Doe Fumbled BEFORE scoring and State recovered it.

The League Office has NOT reviewed the play.

Speaking at Monday nights' Touchdown Club of Memphis, ESPN's Reece Davis says Coaches better Think Twice before going Public with a Complaint.

Davis says if a coach does publicly rebuke an official, he'd better be right about the call. Davis says Kiffin was not, but Mullen had a point. Overall, Davis says any criticism of the officials should be handled out of the public eye.

Davis, Mark May, and Lou Holtz are part of the ESPN-2 Crew that will televise Tuesday Nights' Memphis Tigers game vs East Carolina Live from the Liberty Bowl

Kickoff is 7pm.
